Job Description: Physical Therapist (Acute, Outpatient)
Location: Windsor, VT 05089
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $50 to $55 hourly on W2
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team in Windsor, VT for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in both acute and outpatient settings. This role requires a compassionate and motivated individual with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Evaluate patients' physical abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Treatment Implementation: Administer physical therapy treatments including exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
- Progress Monitoring: Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on continued care, exercise routines, and health maintenance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments, progress, and outcomes.
- Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulations, standards, and practices within the field of physical therapy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Vermont.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in acute care and outpatient settings preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Certifications: CPR/BLS certification required.
