We’re on the hunt for an amazing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Tacoma, WA. If you’re ready to rock your scrubs, save the day (minus the cape), and bring your awesome personality to the floor, we want YOU!
Why Choose Universal HCR?
- Flexible Work Options: Whether you’re full-time, travel-hungry, or just want a contract gig, we’ve got something for everyone (including your need to finish that Netflix series!).
- Team Vibes: We don’t just work together, we have fun together. Expect high-fives, team spirit, and the occasional dance-off in the breakroom.
- Competitive Pay: Let’s talk numbers—how about a paycheck that makes your wallet happy, with travel stipends for adventurers too?
- Growth Opportunities: Advance your skills, add to your resume, and maybe even become the Instagram star of the hospital (no guarantees, but we’ll cheer you on!).
- Make a Real Impact: You’re not just checking vitals—you’re lifting spirits, spreading smiles, and reminding patients why they can rely on you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with their day-to-day needs, like bathing, dressing, eating, and getting around. You’ll be their go-to support, making sure they’re comfortable, happy, and well cared for.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Take and record patients’ vital signs—temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Keep a close eye on any changes and make sure everything’s on track.
- Provide Mobility Support: Safely assist patients with getting in and out of bed, walking, and moving around the facility. Your support helps prevent falls and keeps patients on their feet (literally!).
- Patient Comfort & Cleanliness: You’re all about keeping things clean and comfortable! Change bed linens, help patients with personal hygiene, and ensure their surroundings are tidy.
- Help with Feeding and Hydration: Assist patients with eating and drinking, ensuring they get the nutrition and hydration they need. Whether spoon-feeding or prepping meal trays, you’ve got it covered!
- Emotional Support: Be there for patients when they need a listening ear, a comforting presence, or even just a friendly chat. Your compassion is what makes the difference.
- Accurate Documentation: Keep patient records up-to-date by documenting everything from vitals to any changes in their condition. It’s all about keeping the care team in the loop!
- Work Closely with Nurses and Healthcare Team: CNAs are the right-hand support for nurses and doctors. You'll collaborate closely to ensure patients receive the best care possible. Teamwork makes the dream work!
- Transport Patients: Help with patient transfers to different areas of the hospital, like for tests or therapy sessions. It’s your job to make sure they get where they need to go safely and comfortably.
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Washington (don’t leave home without it!).
- Hospital experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train enthusiastic CNAs who love to learn.
- Excellent communication skills—extra points if you can throw in a great dad joke!
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (but don’t worry, no capes required).
