  Data Collection: Unit Information:  Medical City Dallas – Speech therapy Location: Dallas Texas Address: 7777 Forest Lane Floor: 4 and 9 Building: Building E   General Information Tell us about the unit(s): •         Number of Beds - ~ 1000 beds •         Number of Staff – 8 to 10 FT and PRN STs •         Type of staff: o    Day Shift – 3 to 4 SLPs for adult o    Night Shift - NA •         Patient Ratios – 8 to 12 patients depending on evaluations/treatments •         Type of equipment – MBS for ST •         EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for:    Must have:  candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. •          Experience in acute care or inpatient rehab with 1 year experience with adult population •         Must be competent in Modified Barium Swallow Studies Preferred or nice to have:  candidates with these skills will be considered first. •          Acute care •          Inpatient rehab List typical procedures performed on unit(s):   •           Dysphagia evals and treatment •          Cognitive evals and treatment •         PMV evals Best personality Fit: •          Flexible, team player, collaborative, confident REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: •         SLP license and ASHA recommended Floating Area(s): •         Acute care and inpatient rehab speech therapy adults Dress Code: •         Scrub Color/Attire -  forest green scrubs   Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. •             Weekends and On call(if any) •         Rotating weekends, no call
