STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center?: Trauma level IV, STEMI receiving and Stroke designation # of Beds/Trauma Bays: 4 beds and 2 trauma bays Do you have a Fast Track?: no Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage?: no Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER?: ER holds intermixed w/in the ER Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms?: yes Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER?: no On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day?: 10 Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must have 2 years ER Experience & previous Medsurg experience. ED Physician &/or Mid-Levels staffed? Generally how many are on at a time?: ED physician Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge nurse each shift and takes patients Are there nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters on each shift? Ratios? Duties?: On call Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABGs, breathing Tx, & EKGs?: No RT RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot?: RN Do you have Tele/Monitor Techs in the ER? No Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes What brand are the Tele monitors?: Mindray X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport?: Lab staff Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RNs draw?: lab draws Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): D/N Rotate – 7a-7p, 7p-7a, will consider blocked schedule Weekend Requirements: EOW Holiday Requirements: yes if it falls in their blocked schedule Is there call or a standby requirement?: no Floating Requirements: Float to Med/surg and Swing bed which is on the same unit Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 12 hour shift 7a to 7 p and 7 p to 7 a Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
