General Information
Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds : 23
• Patient Ratios : 1:4, 1:5
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Unit Secretary and PCTs
• Type of equipment : traction, fixators, cooling equipment
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: 3 12s, 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. Would float to the other MedSurg level of care units (General MS, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)
• Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly rounding
Hospital Specifics-
• Certifications: Level 1 Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set:
Must have: RN license, BLS
Advanced skills needed: Ortho experience, Tele, NIH
Procedures performed on unit: Post op knee, hip and shoulder replacements, Trauma patients, some Neuro overflow – NIH is helpful
Certifications Required:
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
