Job Description
Join Our Team: RN – Labor and Delivery Role with Evolve Healthcare
Location: Pendleton, OR
Start Date:12/30/2024
Employment Type: Travel Nursing L&D RN
Shift: Night shifts
Pay: $2,506.00 per week
Expected Hours: 36-hours per week
Required Certifications: BLS, NRP
Charting System: MEDITECH - 5.66

# of L&D Beds - 5 # of OR Suites - 1 within the unit, staffed by the main OR we don't scrub/circulate # of triage beds - 1 # of Postpartum beds - 3 in addition to the 5 LDRPs # of births per day, per year
- Approx 340 annual deliveries (30-35/month on average)
Experience or 'Must have' skills - L&D, PP, routine nursery, Intermediate Nursey; Nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care. There are always a minimum of 2 nurses present, sometimes 3. Each RN is the back up for the other. Strong skills are essential. Each RN is depended on equally.
Shifts & Scheduling - 12 hour shifts - Either 7a-7p or 7p-7a (We do block scheduling; trades are allowed)
Floating Requirements - To be discussed - Yes they are expected to float and be 'helping hands' in other units Scrub Color/Dress code - Scrubs Provided Unit/Department specific orientation - yes - typically 3 shifts Unit Specific Information: We can be very busy at times and slow at others. Being able to jump from one task or assignment is essential. You may start the shift with 2 nurses and no labors and end the shift with 3 nurses, 2 labors and intermediate baby waiting transfer, and a couple fresh postpartum pairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fetal heart rates, maternal vital signs, and labor progression.
- Assist in the delivery process, including C-sections and complicated births.
- Provide postpartum care and newborn assessments.
- Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and interventions.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience preferred.
- BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
