Job Description
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)
Job Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department, managing patients from minor walk-ins to critically ill individuals.
Perform assessments, administer treatments, and monitor patient conditions for both adult and pediatric patients.
Interpret basic and advanced EKGs, including those required in STEMI and Procedural Sedation curriculums.
Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
Administer and monitor medications, IV therapy, and procedural sedation in compliance with hospital protocols.
Float to Pediatric ER as needed, requiring significant pediatric emergency experience.
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic charting system.
Work closely with ER techs, CNAs, and LVNs in a team-oriented environment that values professionalism and respect.
Provide care for trauma patients, stroke alerts, STEMI cases, respiratory failure, fractures, substance abuse cases, and psychiatric holds as needed.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
Participate in ongoing education, including orientation assessments and competency training.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of ER experience required.
Must have experience treating both pediatric and adult patients (Peds accounts for ~50% of the patient population).
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (ENPC or CPEN preferred for Peds ER).
Must be flexible with scheduling—12-hour shifts with varying start times.
Must be able to work every other weekend and 2 out of every 3 holidays.
Navy blue scrubs for RNs; Cranberry scrubs for LVNs.
Must maintain a collaborative, respectful, and traveler-friendly approach to teamwork.

Pay: $3,000.00 - $3,122.00 per week
