Job Description

Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is looking for Locum Coverage Cardiothoracic-Surgeon! The preferred coverage includes clinic & OR + 24hr call. Locum to Perm is also a preferred option.

• July 24 (7a) - July 31 (7a)
• August 8 (7a) - August 11 (7a) 

• Coverage start date: July 2025
• Reason for Coverage: Cardiothoracic Surgery Coverage 
• Practice Setting: Office/ Hospital/ OR/ Rounding
• Call Schedule: After office hours and weekends
• Trauma Level/Designation: n/a
• Number of Operating Rooms: 1
• Documentation System/EMR: Epic
• Patient Age Demographic: Adult 18+
• Scope of Services Required: Adult Cardiac Surgery, General Thoracic Surgery

• Aortic Surgery Procedures Required: Descending Aortic Aneurysms
• Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery Procedures Required: CABG, Redo Coronary Revascularization(With or Without Heart Valve Surgery), Arterial Revascularization(Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery), Pericardial Window, Tube Thoracostomy, Thoracic aortic aneurysms
• Thoracic Endoscopy Procedures Required: Flexible and Rigid Bronchoscopy, Thoracotomy Lung Resections and Pneumonectomy, Chest Wall Resection and Reconstruction, Mediastinal Surgery
• Vascular Surgery Procedures Required: Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Heart Valve Replacement Without Surgery (CoreValve® System), Mitral Valve Repair

~Estimated Credentialing Timeframe:  90 - 120 days; EMERGENCY TEMP PRIVS AVAILABILE FOR DEC 1 START

Travel Reimbursement Information:

• Lodging: ~$120/night
• All other bookings approve for standard/economy rates

Requirement description : ~MUST notate ALL during the name clear~

• Board Certification (American Board of Thoracic Surgery) - REQUIRED
• Active VA license & DEA  - REQUIRED, no exceptions
• BLS/ACLS - REQUIRED
• Fellowship Training - REQUIRED
• CASE LOGS MUST BE SUBMITTED W/ PRSENTATION

  PROVIDER MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR JULY COVERAGE. DO NOT SUBMIT ANYONE NOT ABLE TO COVER THESE DATES.
