Job Summary: The Radiation Therapist helps plan, administers, and documents radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This position requires an understanding of human growth and development and procedures. Direct interaction with patients and their families, physicians, technologists, and support staff. Often fast paced and physically demanding. Occupational exposure to radiation is possible.

Job Duties:

1. Performs accurate patient setup by following physician’s orders both on initial treatment outline and daily treatment.

2. Administers radiation to all patients of all ages by the Radiation Oncologist.

3. Provides concise documentation of treatment and simulation procedure.

4. Assures realistic scheduling of treatments and procedures.

5. Assures treatment and simulation unit parameters are within established Quality Assurance standards.

6. Access patient needs daily as they receive treatment.

7. Reviews patient treatment chart for accurate documentation of treatment and simulation procedures and compliance with written prescription.

8. Educates patient of treatment procedure and assures patient understanding.

9. Demonstrates accountability in professional responsibilities.

10. Other duties as assigned by Director associated with clinic specialty.

11. Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirement description :

• 1+ Years of Experience - Required
• ARRT - Required
• Arkansas License - Required
• BLS (AHA) - Required

White River will not review applicants within 90 miles of Batesville. 

Applicants between 90-150 miles may not be selected but will be reviewed.
