Department: CT Tech •Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT, ND state lic* NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT FIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- Please note, if a clinician for this facility has facial hair, they will be required to pass the either the Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg/3M 1870+). If unable to pass - A Portacount test would be required, which CANNOT be completed on clinicians with facial hair & PAPR CANNOT be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair - contract would be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed. - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: X-ray - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: ER, inpatient, outpatient. Everything but heart and profusions - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Must be able to cover X-ray - EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use: Meditech - Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Siemens 64 slice CT scanner, Siemens C-arm, x-ray, portable x-ray, and GE portable x-ray - Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift?: Yes during the day, by phone on nights. Night techs work alone - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): Mixed shifts with varied start times // Team scheduling - Weekend Requirements: Yes- varies - Holiday Requirements: Yes - Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: Yes - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: Depends on experience - Scrub Color: Any Color - Additional Notes: Friendly environment, everyone helps each other, staff is cross trained to help in multiple areas. Attributes that help make a tech successful in this department include communication, teamwork, approachability, and friendly Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
