Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Location: Machias, ME

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day Shift (12-hour shifts, 3 days per week)

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a surgical setting

Pay Range: $41 - $46 per hour

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team for a 13-week contract in Machias, ME. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting surgical teams, ensuring proper sterile techniques, and maintaining a safe operating room environment.

Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.

Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.

Maintain strict adherence to sterile techniques and infection control protocols.

Monitor and account for all surgical instruments and supplies throughout procedures.

Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping prior to surgery.

Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to ensure efficient surgical procedures.

Handle specimen collection and labeling as per hospital protocols.

Ensure equipment and instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored post-procedure.

Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.

Experience with multiple surgical specialties (General, Ortho, Neuro, etc.) preferred.

BLS certification (required).

Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and OR protocols.

Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
