Job Description

Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist

Location: Redding, CA 96001

Pay Rate: $60-65/hr

Shift: 12-hour night shift (18:00-06:30)

Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team in Redding, CA. This is a 13-week contract position with a competitive pay rate of $60-65 per hour. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a hospital laboratory setting and hold the necessary certifications and educational background.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures with accuracy and precision
  • Analyze test results and provide accurate and timely reports to medical staff
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and quality control measures
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • ASCP certification, or equivalent, required
  • Minimum of five years of hospital laboratory work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or other educational requirements as stated in CLIA (42 CFR 493.1489)
  • Current and Valid State License
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work the night shift (18:00-06:30) and commit to a 36-hour workweek
