Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist for a 20-week contract in Mt. Vernon, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing disorders or cardiopulmonary conditions. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality respiratory care during the night shift (7:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts).
Assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders, including those with chronic respiratory diseases like asthma and COPD.
Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, ventilator management, and chest physiotherapy.
Monitor and adjust ventilator settings as needed.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and home care techniques.
Collaborate with medical staff to develop individualized treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
Licensure: Active Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Washington (WA).
Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility preferred).
Skills: Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
BLS/ACLS Certification: Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Contract Details:
Duration: 20 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: May include weekends and holidays based on facility needs
