General Information
Unit Specifics:
• Number of Beds : 16
• Patient Ratios : 1:2
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : 1 nurse per 2 patients, free charge OR tech on unit
• Type of equipment : Phillips central monitoring
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating policy: Float to M/S and PCU for an assignment. May float to ER to task or take hold patients
• Patient Experience requirements:
Hospital Specifics-
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH STROKE SCALE
Hiring profile
Requested Skill Set: Critical Care experience
Must have: ACLS, BLS, NIH
Advanced skills needed: experience with vents, arterial lines, titration drips, post craniotomy care, post cath lab patients
Procedures performed on unit: central line placement, art line placement, chest tubes, intubation
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIH
Dress Code: (Required uniform)
• ROYAL BLUE OR BLACK SCRUBS
