Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVCC)
Facility: CHI St. Luke's Health - Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center
Location: Houston, TX, 77030
Position Overview
Join the highly skilled team at CHI St. Luke's Health - Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVCC). This unit specializes in advanced care for patients undergoing open-heart surgeries, transplants, AAA repairs, and CRRT.
Shift Details:
Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts).
Guaranteed Hours: Rotating 36/48 hours every two weeks.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW).
On-Call Requirements: Flexible, no self-scheduling allowed.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required; 3+ years preferred.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRRT, NIHSS – all active at submission.
Licensure: Active RN license to submit.
Travel Experience: Preferred, especially in high-volume, Level 1 Trauma settings.
Unit Details
Unit Type: Cardiovascular Intensive Care (CVCC).
Care Setting: Acute care within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Charting System: EpicCare Inpatient EMR (experience required).
Patient Focus: Open-heart surgeries, transplants, AAA, CRRT.
Environment: Busy and fast-paced with floating required.
Additional Information
Orientation Hours: 12 hours.
Parking:
Daily: $15+/day.
Monthly: On/off-campus options available, ranging from $95-$120 with a pass.
Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and adaptable to a high-demand environment.
